Staying strong, calm, and kind is easier said than done
Life is hectic, schedules are full-to-bursting, sleep needs to take priority—I know this as well as anyone!
My classes and training sessions are built around these three important and often challenging concepts:
STRONG
I want you to leave every workout feeling powerful, capable, and confident—whether we’re practicing bodyweight and barbell, slow yoga-ing, or getting our hearts pumping with cardio.
CALM
Even going hard, I try to cultivate a low-key vibe. Classes close with three breaths together, to sit with all that effort for a moment before we head back to our busy days. Training sessions always include a yoga-inspired cool down, because it’s all too easy to dive into other things without that transition.
KIND
I’m not a drill sergeant. That approach works for some people, but my classes and training sessions are full of jokes, joyful encouragement, and modifications that meet you where you’re at. No yelling, no shaming, and no burpees, here.
